The pond clubtails are more common in the eastern part of the
country but Iowa is represented by two species. This genus is identified by light claspers and
is the most likely to be found around lakes and ponds. The club is
generally less pronounced than in other types of clubtails and may be
only a slight widening of the last segments of the abdomen.Pond
