Horned Clubtail | Jade Clubtail
Iowa Pond Clubtails

The pond clubtails are more common in the eastern part of the country but Iowa is represented by two species.  This genus is identified by light claspers and is the most likely to be found around lakes and ponds.  The club is generally less pronounced than in other types of clubtails and may be only a slight widening of the last segments of the abdomen.
