Not surprisingly, cruisers are found cruising up and down rivers
patrolling quite an expanse of area. They are beautiful large
dragonflies that glisten in the sunlight. Look for the brilliant green
eyes and yellow on black markings. These dragons have very long legs.
Two species are found in Iowa. Iowa is apparently at the
crossroads for the two distinguishable sub-species of the Swift River
Cruiser - illinoiensis and georgina - and intermediates
are common in the south. More study is needed.Cruisers -
