Swift River Cruiser | Royal River Cruiser
Iowa Cruisers

Not surprisingly, cruisers are found cruising up and down rivers patrolling quite an expanse of area. They are beautiful large dragonflies that glisten in the sunlight. Look for the brilliant green eyes and yellow on black markings. These dragons have very long legs. Two species are found in Iowa.  Iowa is apparently at the crossroads for the two distinguishable sub-species of the Swift River Cruiser - illinoiensis and georgina - and intermediates are common in the south.  More study is needed.
