Blue-fronted Dancer - Argia apicalis male lateral

Size: 1.2 - 1.6 in.

Blue-fronted Dancer is probably the most common Argia and is seen throughout the state. Look for it along the edges of lakes, ponds, and rivers where there are rocks or other flat surfaces where it can sit. The thorax is pale blue with little marking. The abdomen is mostly black with blue on segments 8 -10.
