 Note the
similarities between the two Iowa red trameas posed side by side
(Carolina is on the left). The hind wing red spot of the Red
Saddlebags is slightly smaller than on the Carolina, but this is
extremely hard to judge on a flying bug or without a direct comparison.The primary difference is seen in the forehead color. The Carolina (left) has a metallic violet forehead.
