 Size: 2.2 in. Although there is no Iowa specimen of this largest N. A. skimmer, there is a sight record from Lucas County identified by five people attending the DSA post-meeting in July 2004. Great Blue Skimmers may be expanding to the north and west so it should be looked for in wooded swampy areas of the south. |
